The Life Graphic will be documenting the life, practice and process of those engaged with graphic design. Taking the form of a series of filmed interviews, projects, experiments and on-going inquiry into the key themes and questions pertinent to graphic design now.
Graphic Design is changing; we live in a time when we need to embrace the state of perpetual beta as expectations for visual communication continually shift. What does this ever changing landscape mean for designers and their future? We asked a number of leading practitioners a set of questions around the key themes of; process, language, the importance of the physical, writing, film, the digital revolution, the role of emotion in design and more.
The film series begins with Angus Hyland, a partner in Pentagram’s London office and consultant creative director to Laurence King Publishing.
